Welcome to my website! I completed my Naturopath education and my Certified Natural Health Professional training through the Trinity School of Natural Health. I also completed Health Coach certification through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. In 2019, I completed my training as a Loomis Digestive Health Professional. My passion is helping people to live an abundant life through holistic health.
My journey to a healthier lifestyle has been long and sometimes difficult, but it has also taught me some valuable first-hand lessons. From my childhood through being a young woman, I dealt with gut issues. Stomach aches that couldn't be explained by an MD (and told it was all in my head) were a regular occurrence. I was led to believe that this was "normal for me" and just a part of my life. To compound these issues, I later dealt with the consequences of unhealthy choices during my second pregnancy. I began to realize that I would not have the energy to enjoy my children if I stayed on the path I was on. I also didn't want to pass bad habits down to them that would affect their health as well. As a mother of 3 grown children, (and now 3 grandchildren!) there has been a lot of learning along the way. By focusing on digestive health, I have found healing, increased energy, and better quality sleep. As a Naturopath, Digestive Health Professional, and Health Coach, I help people of all ages restore their bodies to homeostasis or a state of balance. There are various ways to evaluate our health, including looking at digestion through a palpation exam, 24-hour urinalysis, discussing current concerns, asking in-depth questions, and then taking the time to listen to what the individual challenges may be. Oftentimes, by finding where our body (and our lifestyles) are out of balance, and taking the necessary steps to bring it closer to a healthy state, many infirmities may be lessened or eliminated. My focus is on holistic health, which includes mind, body, and spirit - the whole person. A holistic approach can relieve symptoms, modify contributing factors, and enhance a person's life to optimize future well-being. I believe in the intentional pursuit of emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, environmental, and social aspects of our lives, resulting in a dynamic state of being fully alive. This creates a condition of well-being regardless of the presence or absence of dis-ease. My heart’s desire is to meet clients with grace, kindness, acceptance, and spirit without condition. |
